EKP-IV

The AvMap EKP-IV belongs to the new generation of portable navigation systems for the aeronautical market. EKP features a 7" color LCD display, brilliant and sunlight-viewable and operates in portrait or landscape mode. 

Detailed Maps:
EKP-IV utilizes a 512 MB Compact Flash (CF). The Cartography is fully detailed and the EKP-IV includes Jeppesen's database with hundreds of ICAO airports as well as over 2000 European ULM Airfields and Heliports.

Enhanced Situational Awareness:
Situational awareness is greatly improved with TAWS (Terrain Awareness Warning System) and Safe Route Predictor provinding you with a preview of TAWS messages along your route. With the new Crossed Airspace Predictor function, you can get a preview of the airspaces that you will cross along your flight, while the Crossed Airspace Advisor provides warnings during the flight on airspaces being crossed.

Weather Conditions:
With an optional weather receiver by WxWorx the EKP IV will display XM/WX data on the moving map. Data includes NEXRAD (with Precipitation type), METAR's TFR's. TAF's and Lightning.

NEW! Exchange GPS data between the navigator and Google Earth:
With the new AvMap GPX Converter, you can interface the EKP IV with Google Earth to display and share your Waypoints, Routes and Tracks. Also, transfer Waypoints created on Google EarthTM to your AvMap.

The advanced navigation software offers some unique functions:
